Windows 7 expert help please

Hi I had bought my sister a laptop for Christmas. It is an acer running windows 7. I ran in to this issue and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure it out. It didn't come with a windows disc or anything and I don't know what to do. She tried going in to safe mode and none of it worked. It keeps coming up with this blue screen: Stop: c0000221 Unknown hard errorsystem root/system32/ntdll.dll
If anyone can help me, I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

What is she doing when this error comes up? What are the specs of the laptop?

i believe the acer boot menu is holding down F10 when it boots up if there is a restore partition on the HD it should give you the option to boot and recover the system that way .. its what they do inplace of giving you a windows disc now. There should also be something on the start menu that will let you create a restore cd yourself.
